Marsh, Rickelton and Brook smashing it to all parts and there’s virtually nobody there. Just shows, you can throw all the money you want at sport, but there has to be a connection to it that goes deeper than just the players.

Yep. Seems a lot of people have a view, make a comment, an assertion, and feel they mustn’t be swayed regardless of the evidence in front of them, for fear of backtracking or being proven wrong. I know that he’s got a chequered injury history, but I’d also love it if he played 40+ games this season
there are two types of fans, us who are delighted for Mount and his brilliant pre-season, the others who are mad as hell cause 'he can't be trusted'
What’s causing me most annoyance right now I hear you ask? Exhibit A (and B, and C, and D, and so on…)
On Infantino's plan to sell the World Cup to oligarchs... Surprise, surprise...
Got a work do tomorrow evening that I’m dreading. Been channeling my inner Mark Corrigan for weeks now…
Reading that he’s only got 1 year left on his contract. Considering full back is one of the areas we’ve massively struggled with over the years, it appears to be a huge oversight to have mishandled his contract like this.
Amass for sale at £6m appears bizarre. First off, the fee in this market appears massively below par, and secondly, why don’t we just play him? Instead of shelling out £50m+ for say Lewis Hall (who two years ago was also a young and upcoming full back), why not keep him and see if he can cut it?

Rajan’s patronise-ometer on tonight’s University Challenge… #WellDone
Perspective’s a funny thing. If, (lol) United were in for him, my immediate reaction would be something along the lines of…caution, personality, big wages etc. Another club goes in for him and I’m convinced they’re winning every trophy under the sun! Can the football just start again please?
🚨 EXCL: Arsenal exploring move to sign Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid. #AFC interest early stage + clubs not yet in talks but idea approved at all levels. Much rests on contract process as no breakthrough yet & #RMFC do not want free exit @theathleticfc.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/athletic/746...
Must always be quite daunting moving to another club. So fair play to City. A classy move to give him a taste of a match day.
Lovely finish from Lacey. Also been impressed with Zirkzee’s play this half.

#MUFC have enquired about Aurélien Tchouaméni. United are not deterred by reports he has agreed a new contract extension at Real Madrid [Samuel Luckhurst, The Sun]
Been thinking about this. Easy to get swept up in transfer speculation and new signings. But if Mainoo’s going to be starting most games, with Bruno at 10, we’re going to have to get used to one, if not two new signings being on the bench to begin with. Nice to have options though with more games.
I’m hopeful on Tielemans. I think he has qualities that will benefit us hugely, but wonder how you fit him, Mainoo and Bruno in the same 11. I’d assume YT and KM will job share? I’m also not sure how far into 5 years we’ll be looking to unload him again. A modern day Hargreaves would be perfection.

Alex Scott has reportedly turned down a new contract at Bournemouth. In doing so, he has caught the attention of Abu Dhabi-owned Man City, who are currently under investigation for illegal financial activity from 2009-2018, yet have spent £800m+ on players since being charged. Meanwhile at the PL…
The more he’s asked about it, the more it becomes apparent that Rooney wasn’t against the half time show in principle, but at the actual execution of it!
Bloody hell, Leandro. Didn’t actually mean it…
Who’s going to get themselves sent off after full time then? I’m going Paredes.
Trump…”It’s a MINIMUM of 5 minutes. I didn’t know that. But the referee can add as much time as he wants. So an Argentina goal in the 173rd minute was not a surprise to me. I expected it. I knew it would happen…”

Can we all stop calling Martinez ‘The Butcher’ now? It’s an insult to actual, hard-working butchers up and down the country.
Sent this to a mate earlier this month. Gave the lad too much credit getting back to Carrington fit.
I was just about to jokingly post about the potential of extra time until the commentator just informed us that there actually is extra time! FIFA’s gonna FIFA!
I’m hearing a Premier League club based in the midlands has £117m to spend…
