Trying to figure out how I want to draw #Zoro and #Sanji :) They are such foils to each other, I love shape language. Sanji has softer features but sharper lines for his build, and Zoro has sharper features, but his build requires more curved lines. Does that make sense? I think so LOL

A lot of sketches of Sanji and Zoro, with little notes written in as I try to work out a consistent visual language for them. The drawings are mostly pre timeskip, with one of each being post timeskip. Some of these notes include that I draw Sanji with a heart shaped facial structure, and Zoro with a rectangular one. Another note cites the fact that I do not have a lot of experience drawing buff guys. Another, written next to the lower sketch of Zoro laughing with a mug next to him, says "drunk as a skunk". There is also a teeny drawing of them as kids, with Sanji looking very sad, and Zoro seeming confused about it.

"Bright orange, with the split-second dash of blue" #Sanji from a #zosan fic by @64907.bsky.social that I have been absolutely loving! (If you saw my lineart the first time I uploaded this no u didnt)

Sanji (40 year old version from a specific fic) stands with his back to the viewer, looking over his shoulder. His legs are breathed in flames, which also curl up from his wrist and his neck. The flames are bright orange, with just a dash of blue. Sanji has a gentle smile, and his eye seems to glow with the same blue caught in the flames. Hanging from his ear is one of Zoro's earrings, the metal shining brightly with the colours of the flames around it. Written in (my best attempt at) cursive to the left of Sanji are the words "bright orange, with the split-second dash of blue". The words are glowing. :)
