I am presenting my research into an unidentified gravestone maker I’ve dubbed "the Old Dunstable carver" on 4/18/26 at the spring meeting of the Association for Gravestone Studies @ the Woods Memorial Library, 19 Pleasant St., in Barre, MA, starting at 10 am. I strongly believe he was Henry Geyer.

Rachel Minot, d. 1751. Bolton, MA. The first “Old Dunstable” stone I discovered. Elizabeth Danforth, d. 1756. Billerica, MA. Moses Peirse, d. 1757. Boston, MACropped image from Geyer’s masterpiece for Susanna Jayne, d. 1776. Marblehead, MA.

As an exercise to shake off some writer’s block, here’s a history of my small dice collection, 1/ : The first group came from my 1983 D&D red box. Colored them myself with the crayon provided. Only 3 have survived the intervening 4 decades. Did dice get bigger? I still wish Bargle ill.

A d6, d10, and a d20 in red plastic. The corners show signs of wear and the numbering has faded in sections. A red d6. The corners are noticeably rounded.A red plastic d10. A red plastic d20, corners showing signs of age.

New quest! I'm looking for a copy of Cthuloide Welten #6. Really, I'm looking for a clean enough scan or photo of the "Interview mit Keith Herber" on pages 79-81 that I can feed it into OCR, Google translate it, and have it make sense. Would love crisp photos of those pages if you have them!

Some recent additions to the SHP library. First up, “Christmas Memories”, a slim volume from Robert Ellis Cahill’s New England folklore series. 25 down 2 to go. Book 2 is Maine’s Coastal Cemeteries, by Karen W. Batignani (2003), a visitor’s guide to the oldest burying grounds of littoral Maine.
