Testing out some gaussian splatting in #houdini and thought I'd also use the same images in meshroom as a point of comparison. 26 photos were used for this test. Have to try out relighting as well as animation next.

Had this idea of a triffid event happened while you, an astronaut, were shielded by the moon. Earth no longer transmits anything. The side of earth in shadow no longer has any artificial lights. The few survivors band together and figure out a way to get home. Cosmic horror?
Another experiment, this time using a 48x48 sprite padded out to 64x64, to allow for the way I want walls to work. Tested this with a floor tile and dang, just this required 9 unique tiles. Still haven't figured out the naming conventions either. #gamedev
