That's enough summer for this year, thank you. People who like summer must be immune to too bright lights, heat, sweat, and mosquito bites. Every damn morning I find two new ones. And now I find myself looking up gourd seeds even though I don't even have space to grow them because I cannot focus.

Today, my #Maya license expires. I simply couldn’t afford it anymore. And while I‘m pretty scared about losing a software I’ve invested years in to learn it, I don’t think there’s any other software that boosts a 3D artist’s confidence like #Blender. I‘m not sure if this is a German thing, but people keep telling me to wait when a cat gets lost. Like, they see it as an overreaction when I start hanging up posters and posting online and writing emails to vets and the local sanitation department. 🧵
Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.

It's kinda funny how you can see how I stray away from my original blockout and then find the way back. #3Dart #wip #unrealengine Trust your blockout🙏😅 My shader has the option to use an RGB mask now. I can layer materials with more detail and give everything more volume, depth, and story visually.
Process gif of the project I am working on. The changes in the last 3 days were by far the biggest ones, as the wall structure changed completely, as well as the color palette, and I replaced many blockout meshes with more elaborate versions. #3Dart #UnrealEngine

Getting back to my little medieval pottery workshop. Replaced the blockouts for the aquamaniles and set up their materials for a first pass. Lots of the details are disappearing in the light so I will need to find a way to make them more visible if it stays like this when everything is done. #3Dart
