They made it to Hamburg and checked into the hotel without issue 😅🙏

Eldest and my grandcats (Eevee & Samus) enjoyed their stay in Frankfurt. They mostly slept after the long flight. They're en route to Hamburg. After that, Denmark.

I am mopey because I am tired, I miss Eldest and my friends at my old school, and I have no clothes to wear to work and no paycheck until at the end of the month. I'm going to eat some food, regulate, and then write in my gratitude journal.

Day 1 of new teacher training went well. It was a little boring since I had written schoolwide training materials on most of it. I met one of my best friends at my last new teacher orientation, but there was no magical spark with anyone there.

The people running the teacher training today at my new district are going to wonder why they hired a zombie for a counseling enriched position.

They made it to the hotel in Frankfurt, Germany. Whew 😅 I've been working on nailing down the travel and stay in the next stop. Lots of dog friendly establishments but few for 2 cats in Hamburg.

Eldest made it to Germany! The kitties were very well behaved. The hotel has a free shuttle, but she'd have to wait awhile in the heat for the next one so they're taking the train.

Before & after, Fremont house edition It's coming along. I have to purchase more rocks & place all of them, but I already visited the rock yard.

The creamy white (middle, R) bathroom vanities aren't available. For some reason, they were shipped back to China & it will be months until they arrive again. KZ wants us to go with moonlight (middle, L). It reads way too grey.

We did it! They're wheels up & en route to Denmark!!! I played the worried mom card & asked if they'd give me an additional pass to escort her & kitties through TSA. I took both cats in a private room & schmoozed while she waited in the line. They let us through.

It was pretty cool to get some one on one time with Eldest's partner last night. We were laughing pretty hard last night when putting the sheets on the larger guest bed about the lengths we have gone to get her up in the morning. Someone else feels my pain 😂👊

I came out to get coffee and found this. I haven't moved Purrsephone yet to see if she peed in the suitcase because I value my life.

It's go time! I need to get 2 cats and 2 night owl humans up and moving so she can make her flight. Wish me luck! 🙏

Kitchen demo has started today. I still have not realized my dream of using a sledgehammer. Our GC said this is delicate work and we want to remove everything carefully.

We learned from our brilliant President's mistakes, and went with a lighter color for the new pool coating 😂 I'm so relieved that they finished the job.

Eldest: You know, for someone who is always the most positive person in the room, you've joked about murder and arson about 8 times today. Me: Fire is cleansing, and would definitely get the hot sauce off of the ceiling. Eldest: I think Purrsephone has been whispering in your ear at night.

The cats EU travel papers arrived via FedEx!!!! We might actually pull this off. I'm trying to find a carrier tiny enough, because the plane has strict size limits.

Before & after Eeeeeeee!! I'm so happy. Our electrician who does amazing work had to pick up his check, and he offered to come to the Pleasanton house and replace the ugly off center fixtures for me.

Before & after I asked a painter we were considering for the interior & exterior to finish painting our Pleasanton bedroom as a trial run, after the last disastrous painting experience. I need evidence of good work, lol

💯 I'm so over this break. My partner said this week that the ROI on investment is going to be really good and maybe we should consider flipping houses. Um, never again, unless you want to see my name as a headline 😂🔪🩸

Ellie be like "I can't wait for work to start because this vacation is killing me."

Me: The GP asked me if I had any stressors in my life & said he felt like he should refund my copay, because listening to me was like therapy and made him feel less bad about his life and schedule. Psychiatrist: That's funny, I was thinking the same thing before we logged on. Me: Damn. 😂💀

My coteacher and I spent 5 hours reviewing systems today. He said it's crazy both how similar our journey that led us to a counseling enriched position has been, and also how our brains work.

We just got home after moving all the furniture out of Eldest's studio & got the grandcats situated. Their kitty scratcher hasn't arrived yet so I gave them the fancy one my cats rejected 😹
