Gideon Day marks the 1963 SCOTUS decision that established the right to an attorney for anyone charged w/a crime, regardless of ability to pay. Pub defs have a constitutional duty & great privilege to protect the rights of the ppl we rep while pushing for a more just/equitable legal system&society.
