Organized crime generates billions in illicit profits. 🇧🇷 My meeting with Andrei Augusto Passos Rodrigues, Director-General of the Brazilian Federal Police, was an opportunity to discuss how to further strengthen cooperation in targeting organized crime’s financial foundations.

It was a pleasure to welcome Italy’s Minister of Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, alongside Prefect Raffaele Grassi and the delegation, to INTERPOL headquarters to discuss further avenues for cooperation and Italy’s current security priorities.

This week's @interpol Heads of NCBs conference showed what global policing achieves when united with officers sharing experiences and lessons. Most importantly, we see concrete results from the face-to-face meetings. The relationships built will shape how we work together to keep communities safe.

For me @interpol.int’s Heads of National Central Bureaus conference is the most meaningful of the year. This week, our discussions will focus on some of the most pressing threats - global scam centres, the convergence of organized crime, and the growing role of AI in enabling criminal activity.

Such a pleasure to welcome Major General Bold Jamsranjav, Commissioner General of the National Police Agency of Mongolia to @interpol.int We discussed emerging crime threats and explored how INTERPOL's tools and services can strengthen Mongolia’s capacity to combat transnational crime.

The next two days of the #GlobalFraudSummit are a critical opportunity. The threat is real and is growing Looking forward to getting this important event under way with co-host UNODC Acting Executive Director John Brandolino, and the UK’s Fraud Minister, Lord Hanson.

On the International Day of Remembrance for Fallen Police Officers (7 March) INTERPOL duty stations around the world are being lit up in blue to honour those who have lost their lives protecting their communities. We honour their sacrifice with gratitude and pride.

Pleased to welcome the WEF Head of Cybersecurity Akshay Joshi and his team to the @interpol General Secretariat headquarters. Public–private sector collaboration is essential in reinforcing law enforcement capabilities, and his visit will help identify areas for even closer cooperation.

Operation Thunder once again exposes the sophistication and scale of the criminal networks driving the illegal wildlife and forestry trade. We’re committed to strengthening global policing responses and protecting our planet’s shared natural and human heritage.
