Who or What am I? Answer: Buddleia. It is a beautiful plant attracting clouds of butterflies. It is classed as an invasive plant as it can form dense stands that eliminate other plants and can divert pollinators attention from native plant species. Always deadhead.
Who or What am I? Hint 2: It has large, drooping spikes of densely clustered, small, purple (or sometimes white) flowers and long, narrow leaves. Combined with the morning hint you should be in little doubt. Answer here at 8pm. I was sure I sent it at 1.30 - apparently not
Who or What am I? Hint 1: They produce nectar that has a higher content of sucrose, glucose, and fructose than many other garden flowers and are at their sweetest at midday. Second hint at about 1.30.
Creamy lemon asparagus gnocchi - A quick one pan dish with tender and golden brown gnocchi and bright and crisp asparagus and a creamy sauce. The recipe is on our website www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk/recipes
Who or What am I? Answer: birch tree They are known as ‘pioneer species‘, due to their ability to grow on uncolonized land. They came into Britain at the end of the Ice Age as the Mammoths moved away in search of their tundra grasses
Who or What am I? Hint 1: Their white bark sheds layers like tissue paper and becomes black and rugged at the base. As the trees mature, the bark develops dark, diamond-shaped fissures. Are you ready to give an answer, if not next hint around 1.30pm

We continue this late cut of the meadows, the traditional way of hay making, working with local farmer, Dave Meddings who cuts and bales the hay, taking it for winter forage. We are grateful for his help.
Who or What am I? Answer: Elephant Hawk-Moth. They are called ‘hawk’ moths because of their fast manoeuvrable flight. When feeding they hover in front of the flower instead of landing on it, beating their wings at a rate of over 70 times per second.
Who or What am I? Hint 2: The name is derived from the shape of the caterpillar, its head and thorax are distinctly more slender than the rest of the body. Answer here at 8pm.
Who or What am I? Hint 1: Nocturnal, with colours that make it look quite exotic. It is especially drawn to nectar of the willow herb, fuchsia and honeysuckle. Second clue at about 1.30pm.
Spicy Marmalade Chicken and Sweet Potatoes - Citrusy, sweet and sour the sauce gets caramelized by the oven’s heat, coating chicken thighs and cubed sweet potatoes with a sticky glaze. You'll find the recipe on our website www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk/recipes

Who or What am I? Answer: Yellow/ Wood avens. In medieval times it would have found a place in your herb garden used as a medicine. And of course, it is a poster child for animal distribution of its seeds. While you may not have consciously noticed it, you will have brushed against it many times.
Who or What am I? Hint 2: Its yellow flowers are small, 2 cm across, with five to seven petals. A straggly, hairy plant that has downy, three-lobed leaves with toothed edge. It is 50cm to a metre tall. The answer will be here at 8 tonight, see you then.
Who or What am I? Hint 1: At this time of year, you will notice their seeds, which have a long, red hook, break off from the little round seed balls and attach to animal fur and your clothes. I'm hoping to put the second hint up by about 1.30pm.
Courgette Parmesan - Not only does this taste good but it is a perfect recipe to make with children/grandchildren as they love to be part of the assembly line dipping the slices in flour, egg and breadcrumbs. Recipe is on our website shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk/recipes
Why do we do what we do? Well, it's quite simple... We aim to provide a welcoming visitor centre, to inspire people to explore and learn about the Shropshire Hills and the wider natural world. We want to do our bit to bring the landscape and nature to as many people as possible.
Who or What am I? Answer: Scarlet Tiger Moth Their bright colours are a warning to predators that they are toxic. Because visual warning colours don't work in the dark, the scarlet tiger moth uses ultrasonic clicks and biosonar jamming systems to disrupt bats' echo-location.
Who or What am I? Hint 2: A wingspan of 45–55mm, the forewings usually have a metallic-green sheen on the blackish areas, with white and yellow markings. Hindwings are red with three large and irregular black markings. Answer at 8pm.
Because I am on holiday (having a great time, thank you for asking) I will put the second hint up now so I don't have to worry about having a signal later.
