ON THIS DATE (60 YEARS AGO) August 12, 1966 - The Kinks: "The Kinks Greatest Hits!" is released. "The Kinks Greatest Hits!" was the first compilation album released in the US by The Kinks on August 12, 1966. It reached #9 on the Billboard 200 Top LP's chart.
It's only August 1st...and yet, some of the trees around here are starting to turn brownish-red in spots. 😳 #Tacoma
The first Yes album, released on this day in 1969. This one always gets knocked for its production values--or lack thereof--but that only adds to its charm. I always admired the rawness of it, myself. They could only get better from here....and they did.

It was in January of 1986 that The Shining began making the rounds on cable TV after a long absence. We had both of these channels, along with HBO, and we hadn't seen it on cable since it made its debut on there in the fall of 1981.

Finally...a "still" shot of Luna. She seems to be beagle and greyhound, with a little bit of pitbull in her. Hard to say for sure, but she's very playful and rambunctious.
