It may be midweek for you, but Vance just woke up 😹 One of our longer feline leukemia residents, Vance spends most days hanging out in our work room. His favorite human is staffer Abby, and he likes to supervise her efforts throughout her shift.

We have a steady stream of newbies to share, so... WELCOME TO SHADOW CATS, SESAME!!! 💚 Sesame spent the first years of her life as a colony cat. She lived her life outdoors with the companionship of feline friends, mainly 2 tabby cats who were always seen with her at the feeding station.

An update! 💚 Thanks to our amazing Shadow Cats community, Mr. Bigglesworth and Miss Petunia are recovering from life-saving emergency surgeries! 🐾 Both cats are doing great and send their thanks! ❤️🐱

We haven't done one of these in a minute but Clementine shot a little side eye to the camera and it is Sunday so... HAPPY SIDE EYE SUNDAY! Clem is known to be a bit sassy so the idea of the weekend ending is NOT something she's going to entertain 😼

Mango, a feline leukemia resident of the sanctuary, spends much of her time in this hut. Occasionally, she seems more comfortable but we don’t push the cats to be anything more than just cats. We welcome Mango to leave the hut and get pets from us, but it’s her decision 💚

Dexter hiding away from Monday 😹 We love to see growth from our cats at the sanctuary, and Dexter has demonstrated growth both figuratively AND physically! He arrived to us as a kitten and week by week it seemed like he was growing exponentially.

Hamilton is trying to stretch the weekend as long as it'll go 😼 Known as maybe the most lap demanding kitty in the whole sanctuary, Hamilton has been with us for a little over a year and is one of our feline leukemia kitties. Did you know we have an entire building dedicated to FeLV+ cats?

I informed Greta it's Sunday and she needs to prepare to go back to work tomorrow. She doesn't seem to believe me 😹 The good news for Greta is she's a Shadow Cat, and truth be told she works EVERY day. But her job consists of being fluffy and friendly to all the staff and visitors to the sanctuary 💚

Our resident Leo is also an astrological Leo, and... IT'S HIS BIRTHDAY!!! This orange hunk is a favorite of our staff. He spends his days in the office and is an expert at lounging. He is also quite fond of pets and if you dare stop petting, he will bear hug your hand and beg for more!
