Mermay drawings I did based of @blackcatdrawingclub's prompts on instagram. I was hoping to do the whole month but that was too big of a task for me considering I had 0 planning and was doing these mostly on the day, I ended up running late and overwhelmed. #mermay #originalart

A lionfish inspired mermaid wearing jewelry, most notably a crown made of shells, red coral, pearls and a blue gem Mermay day 1 prompt "Crown"A cute little goldfish inspired mermaid in a plastic bag like a funfair prize, thanfully she looks content because she is not real, don't do this to real life fish unless necessary please Mermay day 2 prompt "Goldfish"A mermay based of a sea krait, more of a scary type mermaid/siren/mythical sea serpent with ribs and spine jutting out, big black eyes, long claws and big ear fins whatever you call those. She also bald, not because thats scary, but because I couldn't think of a good intimidating hairstyle and thought that bald would make her more hydrodynamic. Probably my least favourite of the bunc because it turned out looking very edgy Mermay day 6 prompt "Serpent"A mermaid inspired on the glass squid, it has glowing marks around it's eyes, hair that evokes it's tentacles, and the whole body is see through allowing you to see its ribcage and heart that seems to glow. Probably my favourite prompt, because I love deep sea creatures, and the one that tied my brain into a knot the most because I'm not well versed in painting glows and the translucid. Mermay day 8 prompt "deep sea"
