Taking these for a spin!

Fallen Empires was a much maligned Magic the Gathering set. However, it came out at the height of my friend group's Magic craze, and for that, it still holds a place in my heart.

This Alexander statue at Torch Torch is amazing. Also, that Pondering Catarina Knight T-shirt.

Time to test this out on some consoles!

I went out to fetch my wife's recent shoe order and found a little surprise waiting for me.

As a kid, I remember really disliking the look of Super Mario All-Stars the first time I saw it on a friend's SNES and I think I know why. It has way too much visual noise, especially with the backgrounds. The sky gradient also didn't match the style well.

If anyone missed the original physical sale.

I miss Top Gear.

I picked up a 27" 240hz 1440 OLED for the Qanba 2009 because it's a better size and easier to rotate than the 32" I tried on here before. 1440 was perfect for MiSTer.

The new Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender movie coming out in October has some of the best 2D animation I've ever seen. I can't believe they cancelled the theatrical release. It's the only Avatar spin-off to do the original justice.

I hit up another Magic prerelease last night. The Japanese variants are pretty cool.

In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try." Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!

Of course I had to grab this model from the best Ghibli film.
