It’s Week Without Driving! 🚲🚌🚉 I really wanted to bike to work today, but I just couldn’t make it happen. A good reminder that being able to drive is a real privilege (and also that the ABQ metro area SERIOUSLY needs better bus service).

I broke up with my therapist of 2.5 years last week. We did really good work together around my moms traumatic death, a failing and torturous relationship, and *waves hands* all the uneasy things going on in the world in a more general sense.
#humblebrag!!! cold emails to a government planner are usually someone mad about something, so this was a genuinely lovely surprise. public-sector work can be pretty thankless. i’m obvs not in this game for the praise, but a note like this makes showing up a lil easier

When I was doing policy work for the City of Albuquerque, we looked into whether a city could regulate out-of-state landlords differently from in-state ones. This came up a lot. The short answer: probably not in a legally defensible way.
