Lots of random stuff. Collection Assistant at the SFC, so sometimes a little of that. Shaw or Bradshaw

I don't keep a list, but Christopher Pratt would definitely be on mine. This one reminds me of the cottage on the Cape my aunt has rented for the summers my whole life, my mom had this exhibition poster when I was growing up, I think it traveled to Charleston, or somewhere in the South.

Tom Thomson's painting Autumn Birches and Poplars, Canoe Lake, c. 1914-1915

Birch trees with autumn leaves.

Remembering Tom Thomson on his birthday 🎂 🎨 Northern River, 1914-15 David Milne said Thomson "took Canadian painting with him to the bottom of Canoe Lake." "I rather think it would have been wiser to have taken your ten most prominent Canadians & sunk them in Canoe Lake - and saved Tom Thomson."

Tom Thomson would have been a Group Of Seven member, but for his untimely death in 1917. Lawren Harris wrote that Thomson was "a part of the movement before we pinned a label on it". 🎨 Northern Lights 1916 or 1917 National Gallery of Canada

Painting of a winter scene, with green Northern Lights on the horizon.

"And the reaper stooped and stooped again, and with every sheaf he gathered together one of us fell stricken and rolled in his agony... despair seized upon all of us, and we made no doubt that we were to be wiped from the earth for our sins." - Bernard Capes, The Black Reaper #WyrdWednesday #horror

Uncredited cover illustration to Hugh Lamb's anthology of Bernard Capes's weird tales, 'The Black Reaper', published by Equation in 1989. It shows a bearded face in a cowl, flames around it and a scythe perched above it.

A stunning property, this 1930s Raymond Myerscough-Walker Sun House in Chilwell, Nottinghamshire, has had an asking price drop. Still doesn't come cheap, but it is one of the best-looking houses on the market right now - and the perfect summer dwelling. bit.ly/4hfQirA
