Idle thought while watching Dirty Pair (and to a much lesser extent reading The Ruthless Lady's Guide to Wizardry): I adore sci fi and fantasy that doesn't feel the need to explain itself and drops you into the middle of a world. Wish I were more fearless to do that with my own storytelling.
