Anthropic gave subscribers (with an obscure daily usage limit) a specific $100 credit to spend on its “Fable” model (after having paused service abruptly). Just tested it: adjusting the UI of one small flat application is notionally $30 worth of compute so far.

Here’s an affirmation that not-voting is a poor strategy. Even if you’re right that the system is rigged, not playing makes it easy for the other guys to label you an anti-social loser.

AI slop is a great analogue imho for Nazi aesthetics. Mainly because that philosophy excludes people with artistic talent but also because both are essentially methed-out autocomplete. That’s really why it’s always the Jews - it was the Jews last time and it’s impossible for them to do new things.

In a college sociology class in the late 1980s I was assigned a Marxist analysis of education that argued that the US education system is designed primarily to produce efficient workers for the labor market. And now Trump’s Department of Education is just tweeting it out.

Rhetorical tangent: websites that say this are doing a “malaphor” which is like a metaphor that’s evil (because it’s mixing cliches), but weeder’s joke intentionally evoking a log passing through a Stargate makes it “catachresis”, which is a cool actual word nobody knows.
