The people making this movie found the time and effort to - find out there was a train line called the Railrunner - convince them to use it for filming - Use an enormous amount of CGI - Fight off all attempts to do it somewhere else All for a joke about 5 people will get. Enormous respect for them

an update on MY railroad defect detector simulator, I’ve added the voice from SP’s defect detector (a woman, not a man’s voice and an NBC announcer in the SF Bay Area), switched to IR sensors to trigger instead of buttons for testing, and implemented a randomizer that might give a defect on passing!

I'm so very tired of this business partner, who loves to just talk and talk and talk in meetings, not because he's a big talker/dreamer type, but because his company is handing hardware engineering and we have yet to receive a working prototype, which is important because we're doing software/UI/UX
my mother is on GLP1 which means her house is stocked with protein EVERYTHING, but that also includes David protein bars which I’ve heard people talk about and they’re pretty darn good!! (28g and 150 calories is awesome too)

idk if it's a generation thing, but seems very much like a generational thing that my mother's house has the slowest internet but they have like 1,000 TV channels (I have basic cable at my house only because without bundling it my internet would be more expensive)
fun fact: I set this up to have the milepost configurable to include tenths of a mile, but then I wanted to make a joke and set the milepost as 420.69 and it immediately crashed when testing because .69 is invalid 😅 (Though first bug found and fixed!)

New (to me) train car acquisition, probably one of the most rare Amtrak cars produced in N Scale: the Pacific Parlour car Santa Lucia Highlands!
