I think one of the best pieces of advice I can give to new players who /want/ to build lore for their characters but don’t know where to start is: Incorporate pieces of the game that you enjoy and that pull you in. Start there and fill in the details as you go.

I went to ToA with my guild tonight! Normally an event with that many people would freeze me up, but having friends to fall back on helped a lot. It was incredibly fun, like a convention for Roleplay, and I hope to come back while it's still going this week.
It's 2026, I've been roleplaying for over 15 years now I think... And I am still terrible at big group combat roleplay. So many people, so many posts, even with the simplest systems - so much dice rolling. Ugh!

Forgot to mention that I finished GW2's story (just the base game). Visually, the flight on the airship in a sea of clouds while lesser dragons and other airships fought, and Zhaitan themself, were all really cool! Mechanically, probably my least favorite part of the game.

It's probably 50/50 that some of the "The game's in trouble they broke the glass" comments are people who forgot Yoshi P said with his mouth he wanted to do an FF7 colab a couple years ago but was waiting for the remake trilogy to finish
You know the depression is ✨ULTRA TERRIBLE✨ when people are being weird at your OCs, and you just don't want to be around anymore.
