The smaller, higher pitched whistle was the emergency/distress whistle from Hudson River Day Line’s ALEXANDER HAMILTON of 1924. The larger, lower pitched whistle was originally aboard HRDL's SS WASHINGTON IRVING of 1913, which sank after a collision in fog with an oil barge in 1926. #MaritimeHistory

SSHSA had a great day in Muskoka with quite an enthusiastic crowd assembled for the presentation of the Ship of the Year to the RMS SEGWUN. They flew the Stars and Stripes and had banners made, cakes, and speeches. SSHSA was also presented with the house flag of Muskoka Steamships. #MaritimeHistory
