I had fun on this recent trip. First time I've had to throw on a (used) skinsuit in a long long time. It also gave me more respect than ever for pros, as their TT positions are so radical compared to when I used to race. How times have changed!

Hope the ASO has checked with the RTTC before planning the route that takes in Milnthorpe. Better not mess with the local 10. They'll be hell to play if it does.

Bollocks! I thought that it was gonna be meet and greet!! Doing my dad duty by bringing my two girls to meet "Elsa and Anna" in the local mall. Turns out it's an hour's show... In French! Not one Die Hard The Musical show number yet. Very poor!
Fav kit so far for 2026 has to be Laboral Kutax. Doing a great job of getting the brand sponsors colours ID in as well as mixing it with Basque design. Absolute belter.
Immediate thoughts: it's gonna be bloody hot. La Vuelta 2026 route planners, out to upset the northern fans. Could be an interesting one. #procycling

I've had a bit of a break from social media the past month or so. But back to dabble again. First up, coz I wanna humble boast a bit. I'm no influencer, but this week, I've had 2 mum's from school thank me for encouraging them to buy a cargo bike. In their own words: "It's changed my life".
Yes, we know all major manufactures build in asia (for the most part). But this has got to be a first. Harry Hudson has ridden to the Junior men's World Champ victory on a fully asian branded bike. Quick Pro AR:One frame, Cybrei carbon cranks and CRW wheels.
If anybody's passing by Bilbao westward, I highly recommend stopping at the fist service center on the motorway. The men's toilets have some absolutely first class old school biro graffiti on the back of the loo doors. Another skill that's been destroyed by the use of mobile phones.
Got chatting to a random bloke last night about bikes. He immediately turned the conversation to TDFF and PFP win. As a Frenchie you could see it meant a lot to him, he was hyped, already excitedly claiming that it should bring more money to the sport. And that's before L'Equipe is even out!

It's odd this job at times. Great odd! And on fleeting occasions little things happen that make me realize it. I wonder what kid Dave would make of it. For example I'm staying in a cheap hotel chain tonight, not fancy at all. And as I popped out to the car just now in wandered Mr Green, Eric Zabel.
I'm in Brest for the Tour de France Femme, just driven over from Vannes. Now, I used to live in the region for a few years, 20ish years ago!! And I don't know if it's me getting older or just the fact that I was young and in race mode back then, but I don't remember the region being this lovely.
The hotel I've booked myself in for for the next few nights here in Vannes for the TDFF seems to be 50% hotel, 50% old folks place. Which I think is a bloody awesome idea. #tourdefrancefemme

Nice moment for a kid in Remco's shittest moment. I honestly think the limbo he's put himself in in the past two years with "am I gonna go to a new team" must be a factor to his performance. Just hope he has signed that contract before the TDF, as I'm sure his bargain power has decreased.
