As I'm cooking up my big Hedgehog dude's profile, I read that it took Robert E. Howard 9 months to develop Conan's character. Now I don't feel bad for wanting to revise a whole segment of his bio.

I think the biggest pull for me to write fantasy stories (but never actually doing so) is...the swords. I really like fantasy sword designs. Not the obnoxious things that won't work (looking at you Buster Swords), but well designed, functional blades. I just can't write fantasy for shit ><
