Dude I cannot fathom the generosity, it is CRAZY seeing 12% of such a huge bill already paid. With all these other problems going on I can't overstate how much of a relief that is. Lately I've learned: ask for help if you could use it, even if you don't think much will come of it. You never know!
Also just changed the battery in my car and it still won't run, so that sucks too LOL but I'll just save up what I can to deal with that later
Cat update!!! It’s now been 48 hours and he’s been resting & acting totally normal without any issues, aside from a little bit of incontinence. We also have him switched to his prescription food now. Thanks again to everyone that’s been helping, it means the world to us that he’s doing good again ☺️
Wow you guys rock, already got enough help to cover about a month and a half worth of payments 🙌 I know the full amount seems scary (it is) but that still goes a long way toward providing some relief in day-to-day life.
A few nights ago, I brought my cat Ozzy to an emergency vet clinic for immediate life-saving urinary blockage intervention. Thankfully, he's stable now & has a treatment plan to prevent this from happening again. Any help toward costs is welcome and very appreciated. ❤ ko-fi.com/shrinefox/go...
Got my cat back home and he's doing a lot better today. Been resting a lot which is good. Was scared that the problem might reoccur, but I think he's in the clear. At the moment we're just worried about handling the emergency vet bills. It's rough. Maybe I can set up a Ko-Fi thing for it or smth...
lol I tried like 3 different software distributions to use my pi as a nas and all of them made wifi stop working immediately after the install script. Btw I get why they’d want you to use ethernet, but tbf if I’m using a pi as a home server in the first place, I don’t really care about performance

Dude vet bills are insane but TIL male cats have a scarily common issue where they can’t pee and then they just go septic and die. I really lucked out that he was showing symptoms immediately but now I’m sad for all the cats out there with nobody to help them.

Things are moving slowly, but they're moving. I finally have insurance and I'm now just waiting on appointments. Also getting some obligations taken care of so I can at least give projects on my backburner some much-needed attention now
