What an ethereal sight - this is sunrise seen from the summit of Titterstone Clee. Beneath the blanket of mist lie Hopton Wafers and Cleobury Mortimer, with the Wyre Forest stretching away beyond. Apart from the sheep grazing up there, I had this whole view all to myself. #Shropshire

It’s only a simple scene, but for me this is quintessential #Shropshire - evening sunlight in the Corvedale, with the church at Holdgate nestled beneath the slopes of Brown Clee. I came across this view during a walk that took longer than expected after a field of cows decided to run hell for...

Bright pink spikes of rosebay willowherb line the route of Offa’s Dyke as it winds its way towards Nut Wood and the Kerry Ridgeway. It was a glorious summer evening in the Clun Valley as I stood near Edenhope Hill, not far from Bishop’s Castle. #Shropshire

Here’s a look back at some of my favourite pictures of the ‘golf ball’ on Titterstone Clee. Work has now started on a replacement dome, and this much-loved view will be changed forever. #Shropshire

Join me on a walk in the evening sunshine to Nordy Bank hill fort, on the lower slopes of Brown Clee. It's the first time I've seen a deer up there - see if you can spot it running through the ferns. #Shropshire

A leisurely walk up the Wrekin turned into a dash for the summit when I spotted a hot air balloon over the Stretton Hills. I arrived at the top with just seconds to spare as it came in to land. In the distance are Caradoc, the Lawley and the Long Mynd. A great sight. #Shropshire

We had a new visitor to the garden last night - I’m pretty sure it’s a polecat, but can anyone confirm? #Shropshire #Wildlife

What a magical morning - mist swirls around the landscape in this ethereal view seen from the Stiperstones. I was on Habberley Rocks and could pick out four hills from where I was standing. In the foreground is Lawn Hill, rising in front of Broome Hill, while Lyth Hill emerges from... #Shropshire

Join me on a beautiful summer evening spent exploring Offa’s Dyke near Bishop’s Castle. I love the rolling countryside and ancient footpaths here in the Clun Valley, especially when the fields turn to gold at harvest time. #Shropshire

A walk into history - this is Offa’s Dyke, the iconic earthwork that runs between England and Wales. I was standing not far from Bishop’s Castle, looking across the harvest fields towards Clun. On the left in the far distance are Radnor Wood, Sowdley Wood and... #Shropshire

I will be giving a talk about photographing #Shropshire at Snailbeach Village Hall next week - all welcome 🙂
Harvest time beneath Bromlow Callow, near the Stiperstones. It’s an easy walk to the summit of this iconic hill, which has been a landmark for drovers for hundreds of years. I was looking out over the Rea Valley and this was my view just after sunrise. #Shropshire

Follow me at sunrise on a walk to the top of High Rock for one of the best views to be had of Bridgnorth. On the way up, there were dragonflies skimming above the long grasses and dancing in the early sunshine. A lovely sight in the cool of the morning before the heat started to ramp up. #Shropshire

Up among the rooftops - a view of Bishop’s Castle looking down High Street towards St John’s Church. In the distance is Withins Wood, on the slopes of Sunnyhill. The buildings provide a bright splash of colour in this quirky little market town, which is only a #Shropshire

Sunshine and shadow - golden evening light picks out the folds and contours of the Redlake Valley. I was standing on Shropshire’s ‘other’ Caradoc for this shot, taken a few days ago while I was out with my drone. This is the view looking across the landscape towards the Clun Valley. #Shropshire
