AOTW Diary: Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom objectively sucks ass in the way old adventure games tend to, but the art and writing are really cute so its ok actually
Endacopia is my GOTY. Gave me some of the same warm fuzzies that Moon did, such a crazy inspirational piece of art. A monumental moment in weirdo indie games
AOTW Diary: Cave Story Pretty fun. It's kinda crazy to me thinking about how much of a legacy this game has considering how quaint it is. It's great no doubt, but maybe I just never played far enough into it to, like, GET it.
AOTW Diary: Elite Beat Agents My first swap, albeit free. This game tricks you into thinking shit's gonna be easy, only for Canned Heat by Jamiroquai to completely knock you on your ass, and I kinda love it for that.
AOTW Diary: Enter the Matrix This game controls like fuck Also the opening level reminded me of the chase sections from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for some reason. But it's green instead of blue.
AOTW Diary: Clock Tower 3 I wonder if there are any games out there trying to recapture the extremely specific look of PS2 survival horror. Like, super high contrast photo textures with washed out colors and lighting, y'know
AOTW Diary: Wild Guns / LEGO Indiana Jones 2 Wild Guns rules, no notes. I really like that they decided to add giant boss monsters to the end of all 3 original Indiana Jones movies, like platformers having a big guy at the end you have to hit 3 times is some kind of government mandate
The first annual SOUPJAM draws to a close with an absolutely stellar turnout! There's a lot of great SOUP on display here, so grab a spoon and dig in! Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's jam and helped make it a success! See you in 2027 for the next one! itch.io/jam/soupjam2...

(writing this down)
Our submission for #soupjam is OUT!!! It's a game about rooms with stuff inside them that @sarahduck.ca made a nifty little engine for! Check it!! shut-up-sergeant.itch.io/plaza-soup

AOTW Diary: Arkanoid R 2000 Among all the challenges in this game, the hardest levels are the ones that are a picture of a snowman or an umbrella
AOTW Diary: Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai I like this broly guy
AOTW Diary: Metal Arms: Glitch in the System One of those games where it's got shovelware stank on the outside, but actually playing it it's obvious the devs were swinging for the fences. The Halo Banshee is just in this game. Also the voice cast is crazy.
Forgot to post about this. Last week I found out that the goldeneye romhack featured in Nirvanna the Band the Show is just publicly available, so naturally it was my divine mission to extract the models and port them into gmod.
can you imagine the shit storm that would happen-- no, WILL happen when the new Jet Set Radio has its own big shiny AI Generated Content Disclosure. If it does I need this picture posted absolutely everywhere
they skipped our trailer they skipped our fucking trailer
AOTW Diary: Dragon Quest III Was having a bad day when I booted this game up, started with a personality quiz that called me a lazy fuck because I didn't push enough boulders for an old man. maybe dragon quest is cool
AOTW Diary: Super Mario Advance I'm getting tired of whoever's in charge of selecting the achievements assuming 100% familiarity with these games. AOTW is supposed to be 2-3 hours, not the entire fuckin game!! youtu.be/5HUDQjmwG4A

AOTW Diary: Pikmin Kinda the ultimate example of 'finding out what mechanics you took for granted are only in the sequels'. You're tellin me they developed this whole ass game and not once thought to let you cycle pikmin colors with the dpad
AOTW Diary: MediEvil II This game controls like fuck still pretty fun though
AOTW Diary: Peggle Dual Shot PopCap you hacks Okay but actually this port is shockingly great. I'm no Peggle fiend but the physics felt pretty damn close. Even the weird new bonus screens weren't unwelcome honestly.
AOTW Diary: Animal Crossing: City Folk I'd consider starting an actual save if I wasn't already extremely invested in an AC-adjacent game, plus the town layout I got was ass
