My takeaways: 1) Is grid-scale BESS integration slower (relative to solar) than we'd expect? 2) Absent faster storage integration or more clean firm generation, coal usage will be sticky. That's why electrification sees China ADD coal capacity, albeit with an altered usage profile.

First one power station/plant stopped supplying power, but the system was able to restore the correct frequency/voltage, then 1.5 seconds later another one stopped too, and the system was unable to cope. 1/?
