As of Tuesday, April 14, Jackeline has been released from detention. Jackeline was detained at her regularly scheduled check-in appointment three weeks ago. You can donate to their fundraiser here: tr.ee/jackelinesupport

ICE continues to detain people who live and work in our state. And as we saw in the recent deportation of two Durham elementary school students, these detention have targeted people who were "doing things the right way."

They were going to all of their appointments. And now their teachers, their peers at Burton Elementary, and Durham neighborhood are left missing them tremendously. Genesis, Denis and their parents were abducted without warning at a routine Charlotte immigration check-in on Monday.

David Cárdenas Centeno—a father of three Wake County Public School students whose family has lived in Raleigh for the past three years—was attending his annual check-in with Citizenship and Immigration Services when he was effectively disappeared by ICE.
