It’s been a relentless couple of weeks. Last week was packed with project deadlines. This week I’m in Boston for three straight days of long meetings, with 12+ hour cross-country travel days on either end and very little time left to work on the next Signals from the Core episode. But then, this:

As much as I love and am committed to running games set in the MgT2e version of Traveller’s Charted Space setting, I’m finding a lot of rich background info for the Third Imperium to mine from other editions, too. Picked these two up recently, and they’re phenomenal. #TTRPG #TravellerRPG

Received another awesome Signal to the Core listener email. Episode 9 has had a lot of great feedback, and some really thoughtful responses and questions. The podcast is a small, growing show, and the engagement from listeners is what makes it worth doing. That’s what makes us mighty! 💪🏼 🚀 🌌

The band-on-the-run Infinity Suite ports to the Core fairly intact, and the megastar fame loop gets sharper where there’s thicker celebrity press. But the threat will shift with the band blundering through other obstacles … Chanestin separatists, maybe? (Trying not to be too spoilery).

ICYMI: Beyond the Imperial Palace and the halls of power lies a world of mega cities, bureaucracy, industry and ambition you can use to fuel your Traveller campaigns. Take the tour of Capital on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. open.spotify.com/episode/7962...

Reminder: Episode 8 releases Sunday night just after midnight eastern time. It’s a follow-up to last episode looking at referee techniques for bringing established crews into a new campaign where they may need to shake up the status quo to make things work. Hope you’ll check it out.

Just this advice on starting a Traveller campaign. Roll up 2 or 3 worlds. Create a patron to hire the characters to do something and bring the PCs together Create 3 obstacles or challenges to make it harder. Make it science fictiony. Describe the weird planet and creatures. Waaah-Laaaa!
