#nokings The Washington Elm on Cambridge Common, where Washington took command of the Army, est 250 years ago today. We returned here to remember those first Americans who sacrificed for our enduring pursuit of liberty in the face of oppression, economic threats, military rule, and abuse of power.

Apparently some people are interested in having a baby boom right now. We took to Abigail Adams’s (a revolutionary among revolutionaries) girlhood home with a few ideas of what might help make that happen; basically, respect women.
Things have felt scary in so many eras of our country’s history. The fear we feel in this moment is how we know it’s our time to act as Americans always have: to preserve the liberties former generations fought for and to further those causes for future generations. You aren’t alone.
Our work may be centered in Boston, but support is coming from across the nation. We have been so moved by the kind messages from Massachusetts to Kentucky to Hawaii. Many folks mention that our work gives them hope, and we wanted you to know that your responses give us hope in return. #resist
60 years later, we bring Dr. King’s words back to Parkman Bandstand on the Boston Common. April 23, 1965 he led the first Civil Rights March in the Northeast and spoke from these steps. His words are no less relevant today. #MLK #civilrights #blackhistory #boston #SilenceDogood
The group is finding ways to both react to events as they unfold in real time and mark the anniversary of the Revolutionary War with messages about the Trump administration’s abuses of power. @fastcompany.com
This Boston art collective is looking to the Revolutionary War to fight back against Trump
To mark 250 years since Paul Revere’s ride, a Boston art collective projected messages onto the city’s historic Old North Church.

ONE IF BY LAND TWO IF BY D.C. the north end church in boston it’s 250 years today @northendpage.bsky.social
Let #Boston once more be the beacon in the country’s hour of darkness and relight the rallying signal to protect our liberty. One if by land, two if by D.C.
250 years later and the threat has returned. We brought our lanterns to Old North Church to relight the signals calling patriots to protect our liberty #boston #nokings #america250
I can confirm, as a guy whose first “acting job” was as a tour guide/reenactor at the Boston Tea Party Ship Museum.

In the 1770s the Intolerable Acts were economic threats intended to cripple us into submission. Once again we find ourselves faced with intolerable actions that threaten our prosperity, happiness and freedom. Boston wouldn’t stand for it then & we won’t now. #silencedogood #boston #resist #nokings
The Sons of Liberty sent out this call in 1773, and it echoes still today. Tyranny once again stares us in the face, so we resist. We unite. We boycott. We protest. We do what Boston does for America. #silencedogood #nokings #boston #indivisible #handsoff #april5protest #50501protests
The call rings out again: every friend to this country, to themself, and to posterity is called to The Common at 11am on April 5th, to make a united and successful resistance to every destructive measure of this administration. #silencedogood #nokings #boston #resist
These are precedented times. The cradle of liberty has witnessed the revolutionary spirit of generations of Bostonians. Boston has taken on tyrants before, and we’ll do it again. #boston #silencedogood #nokings #resist
“If ever a time should come when vain and aspiring men possess the highest seats in Government, our county will need its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” - Sam Adams That time has come. Those patriots are us. #silencedogood #boston #resist #patriots #nokings
Boston was the town that lit the spark of revolution. The pursuit of liberty and a refusal of any external infringement to our freedoms remain eternal in our city. #SilenceDogood #Boston #NoKings
You can’t bring hell to Boston; it’s been here waiting for tyrants and aspiring despots since 1770. #silencedogood #boston #youbelonghere
