The 1st review for "The First Test & Other Stories" the latest Misfit Squadron book is in! I was a bit nervous about how this book would be received; it's a compilation of short stories that provide backstory / expand the world & don't really take the overall series forward. I needn't have worried!

review for "The First Test and Other Stories" (Misfit Squadron book 13) - 5 stars "Brilliant as always" - Having now caught up, I have to wait for each new book to be published, which means there's time to forget the fun of Simon's sideways references to the "our world" equivalents. It's also good to see the Battle of France dealt with at some length as too often it seems that writers assume the RAF did nothing until the Battle of Britain, whereas the heroism and sacrifice (on all sides) were just as real in the spring of 1940 as the autumn.

I have a gym class Monday mornings & the teacher always asks if we're rested after the weekend... I have an 8 year-old. I played 4 hrs of corridor football, 1 hr of cricket, 4 hrs of board games, bent over a table football game for 3 hrs & ran behind his bike for 1 hr... Yes, very rested thanks.
