After saying goodbye to a very good friend on yesterday's post it was great to connect with another chum of mine. He is called Jamie MacDonald and is the owner of seven bbq restaurants called @bearssmokehouse on the east coast. He also does an incredible job for @wckitchen. A very good man.
I am very sad to announce that one of our very, very dear friends has passed away. @sazyrock and I had known John Haskell for nearly 18 years. Most of that over lunch or dinner. He was certainly a character. May you rest in peace my dearest chum.
#simonstares having a meal with one of my chums last night. Inevitability at my favorite steakhouses Taylor's. Once again another beautiful prime rib. I made the mistake of asking for "chips" rather than "fries" which is odd after all this time. Hence the plate in front of me.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. This was a trip @hermanoprimero and I took to our beloved Spain about 30 years ago. The restaurant in in Madrid and, if I remember was very good. Not that you could tell from my face.

#Simonstares at a very good meal @dunsmoor.la. Everything was very enjoyable, but this "Carolina Gold Rice with low-country shrimp butter, Brentwood corn and chives" definitely went into my top dishes of the year.
I remember being in Seville, Spain when they first won the Euro's in 2008. They went nuts then. Lord knows how they will be today.

You know why England won? 25,000 of English men at home went to the bathroom (including me) to miss seeing the penalty and Bellingham's goals go in. So I am part of the success 🙂
My wife's knowledge of the England vs France game is so much fun. At least she has as much knowledge of the offside rule as I do. But at least Bellingham is apparently a "cutie"

Before I came to live to live in the United States of America I always had many friends here. Here I was at the American Royal in Kansas City with my chums. Now I am an American citizen I am even more taken with it. I hope everyone has the best Independence Day and a great BBQ if you have one.

After the sorrow of the last few days it was so fantastic for us to see some good friends from Cincinnati. I have watched the child grow up until she is a young woman of 17. Victoria has college to come and a fresh world to look at, She is a bright and brilliant woman. As is her mother @grace_yek.
