The end music being like what the BBC would use on it's 80s Olympics coverage really adds to it.
I hate to post *SPOILERS* but the ending of ANGEL TERMINATORS (1992) has to be one of the most jaw-dropping moments in Hong Kong cinema.
REMEMBER The guidance coming into effect today doesn't dictate what you're allowed to do as an individual. It for service providers and business owners. Do not cower in fear, do not reduce yourself, do not isolate, that is one of the intended effects.
Spotted on Reddit. Hmmm. Really struggling to disagree with this one, but the X-Men haven't felt especially.. likeable.. in a good while.
Tonight's episode on the TNG blu-ray rewatch was Peak Performance and it's low stakes but FUN and was always a favourite of mine. The rationale behind what is and is not appropriate for the military exercise is bobbins, but it's a great excuse for getting the obnoxious strategist on board... 1/3
My beloved Bug was among the loft rescues. This and the Konix Speedking were hands down the best joysticks ever made imo.
Tonight's episode of the TNG blu-ray rewatch was 'The Emissary.' Worf's ex is likeable but I honestly have so little enthusiasm for Klingon posturing. I suppose K'Ehleyr is a bit of a dry run of Voyager's Torres, who at least had a lot more depth to her. 1/2
Late series Ulysses 31 adds some elements I don't remember at all from childhood (shark minions of the gods? Time travel?) but still gives us a pretty satisfying ending. Interesting that the gods had no intention of keeping their word until Ulysses shamed them with a final middle finger at their BS.
Animated Space Adventure Characters
Alt: The four main leads of classic 80s cartoon Ulysses 31. Ulysses, the children and Nono the robot.

I think the James Bond franchise has given us unrealistic expectations that MI6 gives a shit about unstable billionaires trying to destroy the planet
Current ear worm. Thank you Christopher Young. :) (I've got a lot of time for this film). youtu.be/b0dAlvoiX3U?...

Tonight's episode in the TNG blu-ray rewatch was 'Manhunt.' Lwaxana is a fun character but her launching herself at every man on the ship feels like it needs more of an intervention than an "oh well" *shrug* type response. Would quietly using a holodeck not be perfectly okay?
Was up in the family loft for the very last time today and found a whole bunch of fun silliness, including a Rubiks Magic (!) and many 80s records. This album is awesome!
The DC Finest line is doing a great job showcasing lots of different eras and genres from their extensive back-catalogue. The usual suspects of course, but also complete line-wide events and a few deep cuts. I'm curious about this one coming next year. (John Romita Sr art!)
This was a heck of a lot better than I imagined when I heard it was coming. Easily as good as the first two books but this is all new stuff and I laughed a lot. Chris Barrie's impressions of the cast are spot on. ❤️
Last nights episode on TNG blu-ray rewatch episode was 'Up the Long Ladder', which I'm quite fond of & watched many times back in the day. Yes, it's the one about the two failing colonies; the lost anti-technology "Irish colony", & the high technology one made up of clones of just 5 survivors. 1/4
New wee counselling blog out this morning, a wee bit later due to the vet visit. Sometimes clients bring their faith into sessions, but should the space be totally secular? Have a wee read if you fancy it.
Does faith have a place in the counselling room or should we leave it at the door? More in my latest wee counselling blog: www.mckellarcounselling.com/post/faith-i... #mentalhealth #CBT #therapy #counselling #counselling #psychology
Booster day for Zhora. Always a bit anxious as she's a wee old lady now.
Tonight's episode on the TNG blu-ray rewatch was 'Samaritan Snare'. Picard briefly leaves for a medical procedure and the entire command staff, especially Riker, make fools of themselves getting outwitted by a ship of dimwitted (but evil!) aliens. 1/3
I think everybody is getting really sick of Governments who don't do anything because they have to ask billionaires for permission.
Recent library reads. Monster is very old school uk horror, quite sad and discomforting, and definitely not something I can see coming out today. Brink reminded me of The Expanse (+ Lovecraft) and ends with a banger of a cliffhanger. Captain Marvel was sadly a chore.... 1/2
Yesterday's episode in the TNG rewatch was 'Pen Pals.' There's a germ of an idea in here about the ethics of the Prime Directive and a lovely scene with Pulaski and the alien kid (where she tricks her into being lobotomised) but there's no excuse for Data breaking the rules in the first place. 1/3
Tonight's episode in the TNG rewatch was 'Q-Who' which has always been a favourite. Peak Q, all the regulars on form (although what a shame there's no Pulaski), and a director who knows how to make the most of the action. One of the early episodes that shows the potential of TNG! 1/3
This is an excellent way to get some complaints in to Ofcom. Do give it 5 minutes of your time.

Amnesty International to meet with Sex Matters to apologise. Worth telling them this isn't a good look (at minimum). Have already been in touch.
my blood boiled to read this. so I went and found this contact form www.amnesty.org.uk/contact-us/ and immediately told them what I think. recommend you do, too
Tonight's episode of the TNG blu-ray rewatch was 'The Icarus Factor' and it's low stakes but better than I remember. It’s interesting to see the rivalry between Riker & his dad challenged, but the usual Klingon warrior BS gets a pass. Pulaski continues to be a great cohesive element in the ensemble.
RIP Bill Oddie and Tom Chadbon. Two BBC legends gone in one day. Bill Oddie in The Goodies was such a vivid part of childhood in the early 80s (and how lucky we were to get such an anarchic loveable kids show!) and Tom Chadon made the best B7 and Doctor Who even better. 1/2
Jodrell Bank? JODRELL FUCKING BANK??? Fuck off and tax the super rich you absolute bellends.
