Snatcher was, to put it simply, a real Frankenstein of a crane. He worked at the Coal Yard, helping to keep the Dock Railway running. He was a poetic type, claiming ‘When there’s dust, there’s a must.’” (Patrick Allen; possibly if there had been a second season of Tugs)
What do we reckon the name of this Stand will end up being? My best guesses at the moment are… Blinded By The Light (Manfred Mann) Mr Blue Sky (E.L.O.) Tubular Bells Pt. II (Mike Oldfield)
This scene and the music that accompanies it is just great. Sadly, Misty Island Rescue just leaves me feeling disappointed because the potential for it to be great is all there. It has such an adventurous feel to it I don’t get from other Thomas movies.
I like to imagine Giovanni just gave up on Team Rocket altogether and retired to stay in a little holiday villa somewhere after this, because aside from a brief appearance at the PWT in Black 2 and White 2, we never see him again.
Here’s a fun challenge. Take any episode title from Thomas, but change one letter and come up with a new plot for it. e.g. Cranky Mugs (Cranky has to unload delicate porcelain off a ship, and is trying his best to be careful with them. Whilst Salty tries to deal with a mad bull)
After Oliver arrived in 1967 and became the NWR’s #11, would there have been some other steam engines working on other parts of Sodor that were simply on a long-term loan with British Railways, that expired the following year and thus could now be purchased by the Fat Controller?
If Thomas can have a diesel equivalent to himself, I don’t see why Percy and Toby can’t. (Also I know Mavis already exists, but I don’t think it hurts for there to be another one that’s actually owned by the NWR)
This whole sequence from Who’s The Boss? is REALLY good. Showcasing the personalities of a bunch of characters at once and in a fun way too. (I refuse to call the episodes by their frankly awful retitles, the originals are far better)
EXTREMELY gutted this was never followed up on. Now if only someone would do something with it… I wonder who? 😏
After a few months wait, the next episode of Thomas & Friends: Continued! is here. Premiering at 21:00 GMT on Nino’s Productions’ channel, it’s ‘Stuck At The Steamworks’ youtu.be/exMNPvT-qe4?...

“Do it, Norman!” “Ok, I’ll do it!” “No, Norman! Don’t do it!” “Ok, I won’t do it!” (This ‘rewrite’ is so stupid I swear to god)
Which of these is the better episode title? Three’s A Crowd + Frank or And Frank Makes Four
If you had to pick a list of your Top 10 Railway Series stories, what would they be? Here’s mine (in no particular order): Thomas Goes Fishing Peter Sam & The Refreshment Lady Duck Takes Charge A Close Shave Thomas Comes To Breakfast Special Funnel The Diseasel Bulgy Ghost Train Woolly Bear
there’s nothing old or slow about this coach (Cecilia by Simon & Garfunkel)
Listening to Sir Duke again suddenly made me realise
Super ED as a recurring Sodor resident in the CGi series who genuinely believes he’s a superhero that needs to save everyone from disaster each day would be really funny.
Some days I sit and think that Derek should have returned to the show over BoCo. Bit more of a unique design and has a shtick that could make for some decent comic relief. (He would absolutely have that lisp, he can’t go without it)
So Victoria, a blue Furness Railway coach, doesn’t get to work with the blue Furness Railway engine that she’s already spoken to, but instead works with the tram engine that she doesn’t even interact with in the entire book. Ok.
