I was lucky to see Sonny Rollins perform at Oberlin College in the early 90s. It was one of the peak musical experiences of my life: so brilliant and absorbing that I lost track of time and self consciousness and was completely inside the music. Blessings on his memory, what gifts he gave us. 1/2

It took so much work and advocacy to get the Park Service to mark the lives of the enslaved workers in George Washington's house in Philly, and it's so heartbreaking to see the blank wall now. It's disgusting that the US government is deliberately erasing those lives.

The bluesky Discover algorithm (which I mostly like, don't hate me) keeps showing me men's gym selfies. What can I tweak to not get this? Is it because I like #runsky? I'm much less interested in lifting and have negative interest in random pix of shirtless or nearly shirtless guys
