That feeling when a stream of an unannounced album you’ve been highly anticipating lands in your inbox as you leave work to get your kid so you’ve got some tunes to listen to for the drive!

I got a band’s vinyl in the mail to check out for inclusion in the column. That’s few and far between these days, but oh so awesome when it happens. Getting mail is fun.

I haven't done a ska/wrestling mashup in a while but you know what they say, "Ska and Pro Wrestling are the only legitimate forms of art". Benny from @theboydetective.bsky.social as Undertaker makes the most sense here. With @skapunkotherjunk.bsky.social being the publicity liaison/manager. #ska

Just finished writing my January column. I think it’s permanently moving to the last Tuesday of the month. With everything going on in the country, hard to stay motivated to write about music, but I got it done.

If a band is known mainly as a ska or ska punk band, but they put out a song that has zero ska, should it go in the “ska” or “punk” section of my column?

If you knew someone (me) who wanted to learn guitar, but didn’t have the finances for formal lessons, where would you point me? Any top of the line YouTube courses for instance?

Sometimes I wonder if we’ll ever see a world where Twiztid and ICP reconcile and start making music and playing shows together again.

In looking at all the albums that turn 30 this year, it’s pretty obvious to me that the origin of my current musical tastes happened in 1996.

One thing I’d like to do in 2026 is finally learn how to play guitar.
