Can't publish Posh TUI on Flatpak. :-/ There is a no "console software" policy in place
I wrote an update on the dispute with Ruby Central over Bundler and RubyGems. I'm sad it's reached this point, especially since Ruby Central's conferences are a big part of what convinced me to join the Ruby community back in the day. andre.arko.net/2026/07/30/rub…
Ruby Central's Destructive Legacy
At conferences and meetups, and in conversations online, many Ruby developers have asked me about Ruby Central and my disagreement with them. This post is my attempt to answer the questions I’ve been getting over and over, covering: 1) what is Ruby Central doing now? 2) has the dispute over Bundler…

Learned a bunch of fantastic new phrases lately: 1. Token-bound — when one’s performance is limited by a lack of AI tokens. 2. Trad programmer (or coder) — someone who writes code by hand. 3. Token laundering — when you let a colleague Slack you a prompt to run with your own AI allowance.

Spent a couple of sleepless hours building opencode-lightpanda plugin as a result.

Snooping on GitHits.com
This year I did couple of “LLM harness” corporate trainings. My unique twist on LLM training is trying to explain how LLM harnesses work. By harness I mean claude code, opencode and codex - not LLM it...

My wild guess is that potential users of Posh TUI are probably on Omarchy or using VS Code. So packaging for AUR + polishing the VS Code plugin will be my next mission.
Pebble Time 2 has literally replaced 3 watches I had previously.
Running a startup requires way more thoughtful writing that I'm comfortable with... Can I respond with meme's instead?
It's interesting to see a guy, that invented most enjoyable front end language, for years privately working on a enjoyable language for back-end. And ta-da... it's a compiler for efficient database queries.

Posh TUI feels feature complete at this point. Now i'm going through a round of private feedback with friends. But everyone is welcome to give it a spin. Hope to get V1 beta out of the door this month
Replaced wakeboarding with lifting weights. Wakeboarding is fun and everything, but really difficult to do competitively for me (too old, too fat, too weak). Dutch Kickboxing + weight lifting = a perfect combo
Avo 4 is here 🎉 15 months, ~2000 commits, and about 50 teams kicking the tires. It's a full redesign, not a fresh coat of paint. A safer way build your internal tools 🧵
Instability of Hetzner's Object Storage is driving me mad.
POSH TUI 0.21 version is out. Now it's a fully signed and notarized mac app. I managed to do that without touching Apple hardware. You want to know how I did it? Here is a guide: skatkov.com/posts/2026-0...
Signing and notarizing a Mac app on Linux
I had to sign and notarize the Posh TUI Mac app. The problem is that our household moved away from Apple. My last MacBook (Intel-based) was converted into an Omarchy machine for my son. But all the do...

Amazing heat for a kickboxing training. I lost two kg yesterday during one hour training session. Will go today as well!
My sons first laptop - beaten down MacBook Intel powered by Omarchy.
TUI/CLI apps nowadays require a Apple Developer License to work on Mac OS. Same with Windows. Copy binary and it will just work under Linux...
Accidentally googled "devtui" and found a couple of articles with positive feedback about my project. I have mostly written it off as an unsuccessful project written for my own use. Surprised to see all this outpouring of positivity.
