Just some guy! This is just a hobby blog, I'm here to post minis I'm painting, mainly GW. My head always hurts.
WIP Almost done basing the metals. The decal on the salamander pauldron doesn't look centered at all but I think I need more practice eyeballing where middle is. Layering the numeral on top went well I'm not doing it again
Good Morning WIP Did a bunch of freehand this morning, putting fire on salamanders and checks on goffs. Now for the metal bits.
Good Morning WIP I have the colours down on an ork and a space marine head. Now to colour in the bodies. Weather bad, Skull head bad but these are good starts
WIP Clanrat batch is all but done, but I'm gonna crash and leave the OSL drybrushing and getting them on bases for tomorrow
WIP It took most of the day but the metals on the clanrats batch are all based. That's the really hard stuff done but I think I'll leave the shades, highlights and other finishing touches for tomorrow. Large batches (here, 9 rats) are slightly too much of the same step at a time, gets a bit grinding
Good Morning WIP Assorted hazard stripes haphazardly done. For all the little metals bits
The stormcast are something I am intentionally using for practice and skill building, and the axe on this big lady is the first time I got the recessed runes to glow sort of correctly. Huge win for old Skull, looking forward to trying a version of this trick on power swords.
It isn't yet the end of the week, but who doesn't want some more good vibes around the place? Do me a little favour! Quote this post with something you've painted that you're proud of, or you just really like. Doesn't have to be your best, just something that makes you smile when you see it!
WIP Got the colours down on all nine clanrats in progress. Now for a break before I hit some freehand (~3 shields need hazard stripes) and the metal trim.
