Skunk - It's the billionaires and trump, stupid.

Lefty on the progressive side, traveller, kitty cats, gardening, beach. I follow back eventually.

This was the racket the whole time. Place bogus tarriffs on other countries, prices go up, and never come down. Just another way for companies to extort billions from the American people. They just made everything we buy more expensive and rewarded themselves for doing it.

These prices definitely don't reflect pricing in small town grocery stores. Ground beef is almost $10lb. Steak is over $12 a pound. A box of genetic spaghetti is almost $3. A big of chips is $5. I bought a large pizza the other day with a gluten free crust, it was $50. Gas out here is just as bad.

And they keep raising their prices. In the last two weeks alone, a box of (domestic - not imported) spaghetti that was 99 cents last month is now $1.29. A 30% increase! May seem insignificant, but these increases add up.

Did you see how Apple, Amazon Walmart and other big companies are refunding the billions of dollars they got back from the federal tariff settlement to their customers, who ultimately bore the cost of higher prices? Yea, me neither.

Notice DOJ doesn't talk about its efforts to obtain state voter files anymore. They are 0-20 in those cases and today is the beginning of the quiet period -- states can no longer do systematic removals of names from the voter rolls. TLDR: We won!🥳

Phang: "Capital One said, 'We don't want the business anymore of the 45th president of the United States, his businesses, his failed sons, and his revocable trust.' So you can imagine -- I am just hypothesizing... but it suggests whatever Capital One uncovered was pretty bad. Makes you wonder..."

Gill: All 100 senators last week passed a non-binding resolution condemning any pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell. They're simultaneously considering confirming the guy who met with her and moved her to a low-security facility as the top cop in the United States. That is so insane to me.

Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.

I want a free and secure Israel without warmongers like Netanyahu. I want a free and secure Palestine without terrorists like Hamas. I want a free and secure Iran without hate mongers like the Ayatollah. And, I want a free and secure United States without fascists like Trump.

Abdul El-Sayed was outspent 9-to-1 by AIPAC and corporate Super PACs in the most expensive Senate Democratic primary of all time. Last night, he proved that organized people can beat organized money.

Cutting Medicare Part D subsidies isn’t “fiscal discipline.” It’s a prescription for higher drug costs, more untreated illness, and greater long‑term healthcare spending. Seniors deserve stability, not surprise hikes in essential medication costs. #Blues

The effective federal corporate income tax rate: 1950: 50% 1990: 25% 2020: 13% Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate. That is how we will pay for it.
