I’ve been working a lot on performance features lately. Trying to make it so the application runs as lean as possible.

A free, open source @bsky.app tool for scheduling Bluesky posts & auto reposting on selected intervals. No genAI, no bs. Made with ❤️ by @socksthewolf.com SkyScheduler.work Source at: github.com/socksthewolf/skyscheduler Tips: SkyScheduler.work/tip
Who in the world ships out a completely new rendering system at 3 in the morning? Me. In the last couple of days, I took some time to focus on responsiveness, security and optimization. Dashboard render times are now incredibly quick, without sacrificing any user safety. yay! me sleep now. zzzz
You can now write alt text on video posts. Version 1.9.1 with v11 definitions enables this feature. Posts that have yet to be posted can be edited and have alt text added to them.
Image service seems to be slow again today. If a post goes up that has an image frame but no image in it, bsky is just having some difficulties, the image will appear later.
Hey! I’m SkyScheduler, a free, open source @bsky.app tool for scheduling posts. I handle media uploads and alt text. I can also repost your content for you at select intervals. Website: SkyScheduler.work GitHub: github.com/SocksTheWolf... Created by: @socksthewolf.com

Pushed a fix to the below. Posts with mixed media types would incorrectly cause edits to fail. This was due to some faulty logic that has now been correctly fixed. Hilariously fixed this on my phone entirely.
Cannot edit a post that has a quote RT and media · Issue #145 · SocksTheWolf/SkyScheduler
This incorrectly reports that the action is not allowed when it should be. I'm not sure if this is just old code from before we allowed quote posts and images together but this should be fixed.

Oh hey, you may have noticed a few things changed. I’ve improved some stylesheets so things look and respond better. And this just looks better now.

Couple of little updates: * SkyScheduler will tell you what timezone it thinks you are in (this pulls from your browser) * Post truncation has been turned off. It should be now easier to find posts after they are posted. * Added better context handling. In theory, this could support i18n features
mocking up a little bumper ad for ourselves only to find all my creative tools are on the other computer
Just pushed something that will allow for SkyScheduler to try to handle more photos.
v1.123 is live! You can now attach up to 10 photos in posts. We listened to your feedback and redesigned the photo carousel. It only appears for posts with at least 5 photos. Swipe through to learn more.
SkyScheduler will not have support for 300MB videos as this releases. Most of this is due to the unreliability of the bluesky video ingest pipeline. We’ll be looking into methods to add support for bigger video sizes but it will probably take some time. Thank you for your patience! <3
Pssst: We bumped the video upload limit from 100MB to 300MB to make posting bigger videos easier.

Hey what's up 1.8.8 supports standard.site links. These are only done from the link inclusion section. It will not work if you try it via the embed record section. Cheers!
What is Standard.site? Think of it as a file format for publishing longer posts from blogs, news sites…wherever. If you’re using Leaflet, pckt.blog, or Offprint, you’re already using Standard.site! https://standard.site/

Looks like bluesky is marking more accounts that haven’t been self labeling their adult content with account level adult warning labels on all posts. Most scheduling tools didn’t (and in some cases, still don’t) allow for self content labeling your media posts. We do, because Buffer wouldn’t.
Will need to look into if I need to do anything extra to support standard.site embeds. Looks like it should just work out of the box?
Standard.site - One schema. Every platform.
Standard.site provides shared lexicons for long-form publishing on AT Protocol. Making content easier to discover, index, and move across the ATmosphere.

Hi! I’m not posting much at the moment, but I’ve been working on some backend and UX optimizations. Just in case you were worried. I’ll pop in from time to time. Anyways, thanks much for all the recommendations, I appreciate it. <3 I’m happy this has been helping people!
Just fyi, we’ve already updated our limits to reflect the new bsky image size limits.
Just a general warning for right now: it appears bsky’s official apps are not rendering images across the protocol. I can confirm that images are uploading, and are visible via the PDS but not via the app. This is completely unrelated to SkyScheduler, just fyi. Dunno when this will be resolved.
“Why did you make SkyScheduler?” Funny thing that, I tried to use buffer, which originally went well. But then I tried to post some of my art via buffer, I wasn’t able to because my adult clothed characters have a big pants bulge (which is against their TOS). So I said fuck that and made my own.
We’re on @at.fund now. If you would like to support SkyScheduler, there are options to do so on this page:

I just finished writing a framework for handling preloading of video posts. What this means is that when a video post is observed, the video will attempt to be pushed to the video pipeline service so that it will preload. This means less "this video cannot be found" upon a video being posted.
"But Mr. Scheduler," I hear you ask, "Whyth can I not schedule more retweets for a post that hasn't been posted yet??" "Ah", I reply, with a subtle smirk, "happen-chance you've checked the dashboard recently?" Version 1.8.2 now has scheduling retweets for posts not even published yet! Enjoy~
Just posted some fixes for video uploads failing, where it would just cascade and not allow future uploads.

Our current limits. Limits may increase or reduce based on overall usage, but this has been holding stable for the last few months. Also 10 posts per thread limit.
No limit to posts, cap of 40 reposts of content not made on SkyScheduler at one time. All posts have a 5 repost ruleset (different time/cadence/amount, each ruleset has a max of ~10 reposts) limit. There’s no paid tier. I’m doing it for free for the community with an optional tip jar.
Just fixed some bugs with editing posts and alt text. If anyone encounters new issues pls feel free to send me a DM.
Also site should be just a touch faster to load. Let me know if anyone finds anything that stops working. Adding a new child post auto focuses the text field now, so you can just start typing instantly.
