Seems pretty obvious we should have clear anti-usury laws that cover all consumer "financial transformation" (payday loans, structured settlements, etc.) to prevent abuse. Say, limit total fees to LIBOR + 10%. These services would remain profitable, available, useful, but without the exploitation.

If money concerns and breaking NDAs is really what’s holding back testimony from victims: 1) contracts covering crimes are illegal, 2) we can easily raise funds to keep victims whole if they must “pay back” the contract for breaking silence. So what’s left is physical protection, emotional support.
