A group of swave men identifying themselves only as "The Brubeck Bandits" told me that if I didn't fork over 50 bucks they'd Take Five of my most valued posessions

CBT is a really valuable tool for self-improvement so it makes me extremely angry that capitalist entities completely hijacked the messaging around it and turned it into "just train your brain to be less depressed!!!"

The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries. 1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors. You'd have to scan your face to use Google.

(3) COVERED PLATFORM.— The term "covered platform" -
(A) means an entity -
(i) that is an interactive computer service;

(I) is engaged in interstate or foreign commerce;

(Il) purposefully avails itself of the United States

it's kinda funny how minecraft added netherite because it's progression felt absurdly quick when they already pretty much solved the way progression felt back in the early release versions with how enchantments worked then

I hate how white guy soft piano restaurant music has forever changed what people think of when they think "jazz" even some people who are aware of what jazz actually is seem to think it was an old thing that people don't make anymore so they dismiss the entire modern genre as corporate

as much as I hate how the people who used to call Joe Satriani "pretentious" are now the people who use him as an example of a technical player with "soul" (and only to disparage other technical music) I can't deny that there's is something uniquely grounded about him most big musicians don't show

to say this mans music means the world to me is an understatement, one of the greatest lyricists, vocalists, and just frontmen in general, lost his ability to speak and write, utterly devastating but he *can* pull through, recovery is possible, and he needs your help

I saw a video called "why are breadtube video essays so long?" that was almost half an hour long itself and like it's funny because squeezing more than 10 minutes of things to say out of that topic is infinitely more stupid and absurd to me than an hour long video on a big topic

every now and again I'll see a notification from one of the Really Cool People inexplicably following me and I take a moment to wipe sweat from my brow thinking "oh god. does this mean they're seeing all the stupid bullshit I'm posting also?" and then I keep posting stupid bullshit

I think maybe the most important thing to consider when making art is that what you make has probably been done before for the most part and it doesn't need to be wholly new because nobody who sees it will have seen everything, you can make something that is new to some people

I really hate how modern society has trained this unrelenting sense of "what's coming NEXT" into everyone. When you finally make one thing, it has to be the beginning of a domino effect. Just once I'd like to see people feel lucky I've made anything at all, but people just demand more videos.
