When asked in February 2026 by the SLU/YouGov Poll, 46% of Missouri likely voters said they approved of how ICE was handling its job, and 50% disapproved. Note, due to the split sample, this difference is within the margin of error

Rep. Graves announced he will not seek reelection. 📊In the statewide February 2026 SLU/YouGov Poll, 51% of Missouri likely voters said they would support the Republican candidate in the 2026 election, 29% would support the Democratic candidate, & 7% were not sure.

WSJ reports what Missouri politicos have heard for a couple of month: Rep. Sam Graves is bowing out of his re-election bid. His northern Missouri district is safely Republican, even under the new map. But the other aspect of the rumor mill is lots of potential successors don't want to run:

The February 2026 SLU/YouGov Poll found that 41% of Missouri likely voters supported the state legislature adopting a new map, and 44% opposed. Interestingly Democrats were 18% more likely to oppose than Republicans were to favor the legislature's actions. More at slu.edu/poll

In 2022, the SLU/YouGov Poll found 60%+ of both D & R voters supported legal abortion in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is at risk. In Aug 2023, voters expressed more opposition to gender-affirming care for minors. *Note* these results are from '23 or earlier.
