“This is based on trust that most people will follow the rules” This is rather a large failing in the thinking. It’s quite obvious that when rules are created that are unethical - and where the duty doesn’t fall on the individual - that these rules won’t be followed.

This sums it up perfectly. The effective stuff is a pretty grim undertaking most of the time.

This is certainly one of the big problems in our present ways of communicating. Another, that holds its hand, is that people have been trained to be inflammatory to get hits of dopamine from the engagement. Ad funded media and social media largely mirror each other in this way.

Anything that reinforces preconceived ideas seems to risk spreading quickly and widely without thought to its accuracy or if the person who posted it even understood it to start with 🫠
It’s important to be visible right now in our solidarity because irresponsible politicians are being visible in their attempts to divide us. Solidarity with my Muslim siblings. Our community will not be divided. We are one community. Berlin bleibt bunt. And London will remain colourful too.
