WIP for my book launch on June 30 of my OC Sable, the actual Sleuth of Ferren City! I am committed to drawing every scale (perhaps I need to be committed.)

I know I just have to hold on a little longer, but getting a new job right when kiddo's school wraps up, heading into a 2 week break for him, and still struggling to get 15 hrs of committed work time has absolutely killed my executive function this year. I have barely been to my office. Aghhhhhhh

Stronk — deadlift, 165#. Can I hit 200 by the end of my 14week lifting program?? Just FYI this is my own weight +30lbs. When I started in January, I could barely deadlift the bar.

Dr Hubs and I lifted/moved/carried this 450lb wood shed 100’ into our yard and it felt EASY but that’s because I’ve been doing progressive overload lifting since January. Then I axed some logs. It’s nice to know there’s a practical application to strength training + EATING.

Morning~ just a reminder that the natural world is beautiful and worth protecting at all costs. And AI can never make you feel what nature does (while asking for nothing in return).

It's surreal to think I've been at it with @prairiecomicsfest.bsky.social for 10 years. I've been breaking my brain the last three weeks on long-form business plans & program dev w/ our core team & writing every grant I can apply for. It's so hard. Yet I can't imagine myself doing anything else.

Our entire house is OG late 1960s, covered in wood panelling, Tyndall stone, and linoleum. I have absolutely no desire to renovate any of it as long as I draw breath. I’m a grannycore influencer.

As I age I realize I am no longer adventurous/stubborn/passionate Jo March, I am Beth March longing to just be at home and die in my bed and tell everyone HA! NOW IM THE ONE HAVING AN ADVENTURE, SUCK IT! Also there’s a piano.
