Testing data presented at #a2schoolboard a mixed bag. Some tests a little up, some down. Mostly doing better than the state overall, even when broken down and comparing same demographic groups, but is that something to brag about?
So the ridiculous fight the Trump DOJ is picking with AAPS about trans students and FAPE is at minimum costing us more in legal fees. Closed session about legal strategy for AAPS response, no details. The resolution passes was merely about necessary steps to respond, no details. #a2schoolboard
Blergh, public #a2schoolboard comments against potential school closures and the lovely neighborhood community that forms around these schools is expected but still heartbreaking. This sucks, but unavoidable with mainly state determined revenues and needing to fairly pay teachers.

Welp, even though the Morgan Wallen concerts were a pain in the ass for the locals, I guess his foundation donated money for musical instruments to AAPS, specifically Scarlett Middle. #a2schoolboard (on a multiday delay on the live commenting)
The silver lining of making parking $ for having to put up with this Morgan Wallen concert at the Big House is not panning out. A $100K Expedition with 4 people just balked at $50. 🙄 We’re maybe a 15 minutes walk away. Cheap and bad taste in music!
TL;DR, neither Susan is running for #a2schoolboard this time. Thank goodness.

Better late than never, I guess. Would have more appreciated the AAEA not endorsing them in the first place 4 years ago, which definitely helped put them on #a2schoolboard! #a2schools

Watching #a2schoolboard is increasingly frustrating. A lot of comments seem to think #a2schools is just not paying the teachers enough to be mean. Loss of enrollment year over year, something I’ve been saying since 2020, is why! Build more housing, get more students. Rightsize as necessary.
NIMBYs can't stop themselves from saying the quiet part out loud. They don't want affordable housing. They want that parking lot to stay a parking lot. They didn't want a park next to the library either 🤷🏽♂️ #a2council
