Doing some fun stuff this weekend to fundraise for not fun stuff! Basement flooded, so that's the theme. Saturday, my brother and his kids are going to use donations as a good reason to throw water balloons at me while I try to play Mario brothers Sunday, we have many arcade pits!

In the opposite direction of jumbo snails, meet some of the micromollusks that you might need microscopes for! Snails like 'Angustopila psammion' (0.5mm in height) and 'Acmella nana' are so small that five of them could fit inside a grain of sand. That's 1/50th the size of a common garden snail.

Triton's Trumpet is an enormous sea snail that gets as big as two heckin' feet. They're one of the few creatures that, somehow, enjoy eating crown-of-thorns starfish, despite the venomous spines all over its upper body. This starfish can overpopulate, leading to Triton's Trumpet being protected.

The Giant African Land Snail is the largest on land, sometimes as big as 15 inches. The novelty of huge, cute snail made it popular for a pet. But unfortunately, it has become an invasive species as it can carry health risks to humans and plants. Alas, enormous snail.

The older ducks have been influenced by this honking lunatic to be terrified of everything. The ducklings don't care about that and are happy to see me; we raised them separately because these nimrods kept running them over and chasing them around. Her name is five-alarm chili.

I am begging cisgender people to stop using the pronoun part of their introductions in meeting to say nouns that are clearly not the pronouns they actually use. I don't care if you have ~feelings~ about being asked pronouns. You are mocking trans people.

🐌 The endangered Volcano Snail lives in the boiling hydrothermal vents as deep as 9500 feet. They don't mind the sulfur or CO₂ (they eat it), or that the vents exceed 600°F Also known as the Scaly-foot Gastropod or the Ironborn, because their feet are covered in metal armor they grew themselves 🦾
