Finally got to see a Damian Mc Carthy movie at theaters and boy oh boy did Hokum just blow me away. Everything great about his previous films and a beautifully creepy story. What a stunning film.

Someone hacked into my daughter and her friend group's private Minecraft server and blew up all their houses. Which like, why are people being mean to a bunch of 7 year olds, but also objectively this is one of the funniest moments of the year.

Violence perpetuates violence. The idolization of gun culture perpetuates violence. The lack of empathy and responsibility from political activists and politicians for previous gun violence victims perpetuates violence.

This is your notification that Target is selling pillow Hulk hands.... Like sock em boppers but they actually don't hurt when your child punches you with them (said with experience of being beaten up in target this afternoon) 🤣

My child about to punch me with giant pillow hulk hands ....

Friends who have seen Fantastic Four already, can y'all let me know if there's anything a 7 year old couldn't see in it? She watched Superman, which I had been told would be fine for her, but I wasn't prepared for the amount of swearing so I could prep her beforehand 🤣

Finally got to see Life of Chuck before it leaves the theaters and I am so glad I did. A beautiful movie that looks at the duality of life. The fixed nature of our existence, the impermanent, but also the beauty and joy that living each individual life brings. @mikeflanaganfilm.com doesn't miss 🫶

Holy cow, Sinners is THAT movie that I just didn't get last year. One that is going to sit in my brain for days after. The use of mixed music styles is so masterful, absolute master class in film scoring from Göransson. The slow build creates an incredibly grounded story despite the fantasy elements

That feeling when you start literally sobbing near the end of that Joplin Tornado Netflix doc because President Obama was speaking and his presidency was really the last time I was actually proud of this country. It's been a long fucking 3 months.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that this is THE most important critical review of Brave New World. You might not agree, but I think this is important to take in this perspective. A lot of good questions are raised, not just about the reception of the movie itself. Please read!

My thoughts on #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld  in our current political climate and the desire to see Sam Wilson and President Ross fit into the limiting purview of liberals vs Trump.

Honestly, we need to stop putting every MCU movie on an ever moving target. Brave New World was fun, I'd say firmly middle of the pack which makes it no where near a bad movie. Can't we just let these movies be fun? Is that really such a hot take?
