Your fav biomedical engineer. When I'm not doing science, I'm advocating on policies and working to make STEM more inclusive. Once upon a time, "warrior diplomat" for the US Army. links — https://projectbiotech.co/tom

Now that conservatives have started infighting, and raiding Ilhan Omar's home at the same time, let's see if conservative Congress members are smart enough to figure out we're all on the same list.

Good luck to the Chicago marathon runners, don't break anything. It feels weird for me to be sans race this year, naturally I just registered for next year's Chicago lottery. Sidebar: if we find me a bike and a wetsuit I'll put'em to good use 🫡

Foster Pup-date. We start out with a battle of wills. She refuses to eat dry food or believe she belongs on furniture. I know she has no dietary restrictions and my adult children will agree the whining gets her nowhere. I'm not soft and refuse to fold dammit...

Me, hungry and not on the furniture, with my stubborn 8mo old foster puppy.

Hi. 👋 Biomedical engineer and former Special Operations Soldier here. We're not mad enough at Cornell. It's a leadership problem, not just a frat. Cornell was also recently caught union busting while scientists and researchers like me fight for better pay. www.aft.org/press-releas...

Chat, JetBlue just gave me 30k travel points. Is that a lot? How far can I go? What tricks and hacks do I need to know? This is my first time planning winter getaways.

My fancy new masters degree in biomedical engineering earned me a job offer. It kinda locks me into "corporate academia" so this morning I reached out to a guy who runs a sports and fitness industry program for vets. Don't settle applies to careers too. We all gotta find the place we fit in.

Chat, today I asked a PhD candidate if she intentionally matched her shoes and fingernail polish. She immediately replied — you're weird. Men don't notice that stuff. She's right. I'm weird, I notice things, and men suck.

Me, with a master's degree in biomedical engineering, screaming at the government once again to stop giving Elon Musk fistfuls of cash while he manipulates our system of checks and balances. HE'S NOT EVEN A REAL ENGINEER!

Out for a walk and stumbled onto possibly the coolest public space in NYC. You can guess but I'm keeping this one under wraps for a bit while I explore. Move your ass. Get outside. #nyc

Caught a front row seat to a conservative couple fighting at lunch. It was 10min of the girl trying to say — I have an open mind and might have a different opinion than you. Dude cut off every sentence with 1 word... Nope. Nope. Nope. Men are f'n stupid and Gloria Steinem's work was far from over 🫤

Hi — Book rant! Just started the first in the Heated Rivalry series, please no spoilers. But there is something too familiar about Scott Hunter's struggle with vulnerability in chapter 5 and I just need someone to scream it at me because I don't see my connection and can't put it into words.

OMG how people hate me for my dark sense of humor but... My latest block notification made me laugh out loud as I'm standing in the airport hearing Actually Romantic over the speakers. It's going to be such a fabulous week 😘

One of my kids struggled with a recent ADHD Dx so today I added them to a project mgmt app on my server. We can share tasks. They can assign them to me. I can create reminders, timelines, deadlines, and add comments. If you use a gantt or kanban type app to help with ADHD what do I need to know?

Today I was reminded that after a decade in the Army I went back to school and started in a non credit math class. Earned my 1st degree at 39. Just finished a master's at 51. You are not behind. And it's never too late to start.
