Absolutely gutted to hear of Gloria Forouzan's passing. Her commitment to #Pittsburgh history was an absolute inspiration. She was instrumental in organizing the 2016 Pittsburgh Bicentennial's "mayoral reunion." Her fb page "Notable Pittsburgh Women" is a wellspring of oft-overlooked stories.

Back in the Olden Days™️, I drove from Thornhill (Toronto) to Montréal Ouest based on road signs & the landmarks I saw from a bus trip months earlier. My internal map & compass are still pretty good but certainly not like that a quarter century later.
