Something a bit more abstract than usual. A watercolour and ink wash with a bit of gouache for detail. A field of flowers (I think!).
I don't like guns in fantasy for the same reason I love swords in sci-fi, swords are just way cooler. "But imagine a magic gun!!" ok but have you imagined magic sword?????
Qsy@qsy.bsky.social · 3w agoThe only reason firearms would look out of place in the type of fantasy I see is because the author, much like OP, doesn't know about their history and can't imagine making fantasy weapons out of them.
Color theory can lead to some crazy optical illusions, take this example of 'Color Contrast'. This is why you have to take into account the entire composition when picking colors, not just thinking about the local color of individual objects.

Thinking about streaming drawing but like it's a foddian game. 10 mins to do the sketch or I have to delete all my progress. Another 30 mins for the lineart or I lose everything. Takes me 6 hours to do a 1 hour drawing and I make mistakes on purpose to ragebait chat.
